Västkustfilé AB changes name to Marenor Varberg AB

Västkustfilé AB is since May 2016 a part of Insula Group, a Norwegian Seafood Group based in Leknes, Lofoten, Norway. Västkustfilé AB is organized as a subsidiary to Marenor AB, with two other production sites on the Swedish West Coast.

Västkustfilé AB produces fish gratins, breaded fish products, natural fish fillets, fish burgers, and other value added Seafood products at its site in Varberg. The Company has an annual turnover of approximately SEK 250 million and employs 110 people.

Subsequent the transfer of ownership in May 2016 the corporation now changes name to Marenor Varberg AB to clarify the relationship to the other two production sites in Sweden. The name change does not influence the daily operations, and will be carried out in the beginning of January 2017.

Västkustfilé will remain as one of our brands in the Marenor portfolio.

  • The name change is a statement for the change of ownership in May 2016 and marks a new beginning for further growth and continuing development, says CEO Benjamin Ajo.
